CPR comes from the abbreviation of "Construction Product Regulation". If a cable has been tested for its fireproof performance and meets all the commonly used limits, it is categorized in the CPR classes from ACA to FCA according to certain grading criteria. CPR(Dca) represents high flame retardance.
Direct-burial cable is a kind of communication or transmission cable which is specially designed to be buried under the ground without any other cover, sheath, or duct to protect it.
PV cables with protection class AD7 can withstand short-term immersion in water. According to EN 50618, solar cables type H1Z2Z2-K are protected up to protection class AD7, i.e. against short-term immersion in water.
