If a cable has been tested for its own fireproof performance and meets all the commonly used limits, it is categorized in the CPR classes from ACA to FCA according to certain grading criteria. CPR(Cca) represents higher flame retardance than CPR(Dca).  

Direct-burial cable is a kind of communication or transmission cable which is specially designed to be buried under the ground without any other cover, sheath, or duct to protect it.

PV cables with protection class AD7 can withstand short-term immersion in water. According to EN 50618, solar cables type H1Z2Z2-K are protected up to protection class AD7, i.e. against short-term immersion in water.
